Founder and inspiration, along with her husband Frank Ramirez for the Ohana Care Home in San Diego, and now the Ohana Village Foundation. Seiko is busier than ever with the variety of growth needs for what has become an astounding model of elder care housing, securing their place in Southern California’s senior retirement housing community.

Seiko first came to the US in 1995 to attend college in San Diego, returning to Japan because her funds ran out. She never gave up and a few years later returned to complete her college degree.

Later as a married couple, they began to talk about what their own retirement options might be and began the journey that is now the Ohana Care Home, joined by the Ohana Village Foundation.

Frank has had a broad and successful business experience and in 2025 was instrumental in founding the Ohana Village Foundation to offer the long-sought-after safety net to those that needed help with a myriad of issues, including subsidizing the cost of their care, expanding programs and activities, special build-outs and much more.

He oversees finance and business relations for the Foundation, and champions their passion for helping those who need Ohana’s special care.
